What is Swag Quest?
Swag Quest is a free, crowdsourced map and catalog of the swag given away at AWS re:Invent. It combines the real expo floor plan with attendee-submitted reports of what each booth is handing out and whether it has run out yet.
Is the map an actual floor plan?
Yes, not a screenshot. It's the actual expo hall vector with every booth traced and searchable by number or exhibitor, so you can plan a walking route instead of wandering.
When does it go live?
The catalog opens with the AWS re:Invent 2026 expo floor in Las Vegas in early December 2026. The map and booth directory come online ahead of the event once AWS publishes the final floor plan.
What counts as re:Invent swag?
Anything a booth gives away: plushies, stickers, T-shirts, hoodies, socks, pins, Lego sets, water bottles, backpacks, and the occasional limited-run item that draws a queue. Swag Quest files each one by category, by rarity, and by what you have to do to get it.
Do I need an account?
No. Browsing the map and the swag catalog is open to everyone. You only need to log in to contribute by adding an item, uploading a photo, or reporting that a booth has run out.
Where does the swag data come from?
Entirely from attendees. Nothing in the catalog is pre-filled or supplied by exhibitors, every plushie, pin, hoodie, or limited-run grail is added by someone who actually picked it up. People on the floor add items as they find them and confirm or retire each other's reports, which is why availability stays current during the show.
How do you keep availability accurate?
Every sighting is timestamped and decays. Good swag can run out by Wednesday, and a booth confirmed an hour ago reads differently from one last seen on Monday, reports that go stale fall back to unknown rather than claiming stock that is long gone.
Is Swag Quest affiliated with AWS?
No. It is an independent, fan-made project with no affiliation with, endorsement by, or sponsorship from Amazon Web Services.
